Text of Short Summary of Bawa Quotations - for Page 2 17. The Oneness of God, of True Man, And of Each of Us
When asked the question by one of the children or disciples of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him, to explain the true relationship between us, the Prophet of God Muhammad (Sal.), and God, His Holiness, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), gave us the following beautiful answer,
"Think of yourself as an orange. Muhammad is the juice of that orange. And God is the taste."
Source: given by Professor Ajwad Macan-Makar, one of the major translators of His Holiness, and a devoted disciple of His Holiness, to this child, Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler), during a conversation between them while walking around the Mazar or Shrine of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), a few years after the death of His Holiness on December 8th, 1986. 18. What's Happening?
First Bawa asks us a question:
"What is happening?"
Then Bawa gives us the answer to His question:
"God is happening." 19. What Can't We Say To God Anymore, After We Die In This Age
After hearing the life and teaching of His Holiness Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of His Children, the gifts of God for our age, we can no longer say to God,
"I didn't know. I didn't understand." 20. What Happens At The End of Time, Which Is Now?
"At the end of time, which is now, God will send One who will explain again everything that has been explained before, by all of the 124,000 Prophets of God, over and over again, throughout the ages, but this time with no veils."
"Everyone will hear it. Everyone will understand it. And all that will be left is do you want it. Do you want an eternal life of "Oneness with" God, or an eternal life of "separation from" God. The choice is yours." - go to outline 21. What Is The One Thing, The Only Thing Valuable On The Path of God?
"The only thing valuable on the path of God is God. You cannot use the things that God has discarded to get to God, and everything that you currently see, and do, and know, and are is what God has discarded, so you cannot use any of that to get to God"
"You must use God to get to God because only God can do this Divine work within you, only He can make your life truly successful."
"So call on God to do this work. Before you do anything call on Him, and hand Him what you are setting out to do, with the intention that He do it joined as "One with" you, and that you do it joined as "One with" Him, not that you do it as "separate from" Him, or that He do it as "separate from" you, whether it be prayers or duty, or work, or anything else in your life."
"And make what rises up both within you and outside of you, that rises up to stop you from being alone with God, into God's problem, not your problem as "separate from" God.
"Make what stops you from being alone with God and stops God from being alone with you, that stops you from using God and God alone, and stops God from using you and you alone, into "Our Problem", as the "Oneness of God and True Man"
In this way, make what stops God and True Man within you from returning to the "Oneness of True Man and God" within you, that in truth is God and True Man within you, from which we have all come, make this God's problem, as joined as "One with" you, not your problem as "separate from" God.
And in this way make "you" and everything about "you" as "separate from" God, as "separate from" each other, and as "separate from" the Creation of God within you, into God's problem within you, into God's problem as "One with" you, not your problem as "separate from" God outside of you."
"Because in truth you have no problems, because in truth you do not exist. Because in truth it is God who exist."
"Then you will be successful in your life, then your wisdom will reason over your fate, and you will become peaceful in your own ending."
"And you will become peaceful in God completing what He has already started within you, even before you came to this earth world, which is to reveal True Man within the Creation of God within you, as the Oneness of God and His Creation within you, so True Man can reveal God within the Creation of True Man within you, as the Oneness of True Man and His Creation, and in this way, reveal the "Oneness of God and True Man" within you, which in truth is God and True Man within you." 22. Who Has Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.) Come For, And Who Can Stop Bawa From Getting What He Came For?
One day in the "room", His Holiness Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with us), lovingly looked at us and told us,
"I haven't come for you. I have come for your soul. I have come to awaken the wisdom surrounding your soul. So the wisdom surrounding your soul can do battle with the enemy of your soul."
And when this child heard Bawa say this, I immediately looked at Bawa and asked Him,
"Bawa, who is the enemy of my soul?'
And Bawa looked right back at me and said,
"You are!" 23. What Does It Mean, "To Pray We Must Be Alone, Hungry, And Awake"?
Bawa teaches us, that,
"For conception you need two, the man and the woman, for death there are four, the four who carry you to the grave, but for prayer there can be only One."
And Bawa teaches us, that,
"To pray you must be alone, hungry, and awake".
And Bawa teaches us, that,
"To be alone, only God is there, only the Oneness that is God, is there. To be hungry, the liberated soul must be there, liberated from worldly desires, and the elemental form, eager to be nourished by God. And to be awake, you must be free of all illusion." 24. What Is The Prerequisite For Prayer?
His Holiness Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) teaches us that to truly pray to God, is to, "Make God's intention our search",
And to then,
"Intend as God intends".
And then,
"Everything will happen as we intend."
And if we don't do this, if we don't live this way, then,
"Nothing will happen as we intend."
This is the prerequisite of prayer and of a life lived as One with God, as taught to us by our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and the true significance of our life. 25. What Will We Receive After We Die?
"The justice of God is that whatever we intend is what we will receive." 26. What Question Does Our Own Life Answer When We Die?
Bawa teaches us, that,
"Your own life answers the question, "What do you want?" Because what you end up with, at the end of your life, is what you wanted."
"God has given you everything of Himself, and all of what He has discarded. Now the choice is yours, as it was His, to become "One with" God or to become "one with" what God has discarded, which is everything you now see, which is everything that you now do, think, intend, and say, in the world that you see in your ignorance as existing "outside" of you. The choice is yours."
"Nobody gets what they don't want. Everyone gets exactly what they want, because that is the way it works, the way that God set it up, that is the justice of God."
"In this way, the choice is now yours, not God's, because God has already made His choice, and He chose "Oneness with" you. That is why you now exist within Him. Now the choice is yours. Now you must choose either "Oneness with" God, or "separation from" God, now you must choose if He gets to live, to exist within you."
"Now you must choose to continue to live as if God is "separate from" you, or before you physically die, to die to your "separation from" God, in order to give life to God within you. This is the choice you must make now for eternity."
"During this short temporary life you must choose either "Oneness with" God for eternity or "separation from" God for eternity in the hereafter or akhirah. The choice is yours. And this is the reason, the only reason, that you now exist, that you now exist within God, this is the true purpose of your current life, of your short temporary life in this earth world or dunya, to make this choice."
"And how you are living at the end of your short temporary life in the dunya, either as "One with" God or as "separate from" God, is your true answer, is your real answer to your choice for eternity in akhirah, not anything else, no matter what you may be thinking or saying about you and God at the time of your death in the dunya, no matter what you may be doing at the time of your death in the dunya".
"Because these things do not matter, do not determine your eternal state in akhirah. It is only your "Oneness with" God, or your "separation from" God in the dunya that matters, because that is the only thing really broken or wrong with your life in the dunya, "separation from" God."
"And that is really the only thing you have control over in the dunya, your "Oneness with" or your "separation from" God, everything else that appears to be going on is just your karma, your fate, and your destiny, which has already been written."
"It is only "who you live it out with that is not written", either alone, as "separate from" God, or not alone, but rather in partnership with God, as "One with" God, and as "One with" everything that God is "One with" within you." "Everything else in your life is just the dream, is just the drama called life in the dunya, which is a drama that is being conducted by God, not by us, everything else in your life is but the stage of drama upon which you can demonstrate to God your choice for eternity, where you can demonstrate to God your living as "One with" God or as "separate from" God within the drama of your life in the dunya, where you can demonstrate your choice for eternity to God until your time on stage is up, until you die to the dunya".
"And then, having died to the dunya, and having made your choice, which is determined by the state you die in, either as "One with" God or as "separate from" God, you must then go onto akhirah, and live out your choice for eternity."
"Please spend a little time thinking about this. It is very, very important." 27. What Must Happen To Us In True Prayer?
"Just as everything born in the world must die, just as everything that has appeared in the world must disappear, so to if one is truly in prayer, then everything that has manifested within him must die in that prayer. Only that is true prayer."
"In this way, when man truly prays to God, when man truly worships God, everything that has appeared within him must die."

"The true value of God in our life is in the use of God in our life, is in the use of God in our life to become successful in our life. Nothing else, other than God, can do this divine work for us, nothing else can make our life truly successful." 29. What Must Happen To Us For God To Be Revealed Within Us?
"O our Father, our Shaikh, our Guru, we need your love, please, please, please destroy us and reveal You."
"Destroy us as separate from You and You as separate from us, and reveal us as One with You and You as One with Us."
"Destroy the life of separation and differences that You have given us, and reveal the life of Oneness and Unity, of Justice and Truth, and of Compassion and Unity, that you have also given us."

How Does The Angel of Death (A.S.) Take The Life of A True Believer
To be truly successful in our life God must take our life in the same way that the Angel of Death (peace be upon Him) took the life of the Prophet Muhammad (may all the peace and blessing of God be upon Him), telling Muhammad (Sal.), after he had asked, that he would take His life in the following way,
"I will take your life like a baby suckles milk". 31. What Must We Do Before We Die, And What Are The Consequences?
Bawa teaches us that before we die we must,
"Stop working for wages to get into heaven, and instead, join in partnership with God within you, and with what God has already started within you".
"And what God has already started within you, even before you were born into this earth world, is to reveal True Man within the Creation of God within you, allowing True Man to reveal God within the Creation of True Man within you."
"And in this way, allowing God and True Man within you to reveal the "Oneness of God and True Man" within you, which in truth is God and True Man within you, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within you, which is the dunya or earth world within you, and for the benefit of all of the Creation of True Man within you, which is akhirah or the hereafter or the next world within you."
Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen. Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar. 32. What Should Be Our Request To Those Who We Share With?
"Let those who are knowledgeable correct any faults. Forgive me the wrong and accept the good. So I request."
